When stable power outages will begin: former head of 'Ukrenergo' gave a forecast.
Former head of NEC "Ukrenergo" Volodymyr Kudrytskyi reported that even if all repair plans for generating facilities are fulfilled, power outages will occur during a cold winter. He noted that outages can be avoided if the temperature is plus five or plus 15 degrees, and there is no aggression from Russia. However, Kudrytskyi believes that outages will still occur, regardless of repair works. He also noted that outages may start from December and will occur during the cold period. It is most likely to avoid outages during warm periods of winter. Currently, power outage schedules are in effect in 16 regions from 13:00 to 23:00.
At the moment, it is impossible to predict what the winter heating season will be like for Ukrainians. The state is doing everything possible to protect energy facilities from possible Russian attacks. Work is also underway to increase the supply of electricity to Ukraine.
