Frosts in Ukraine will weaken from January 17-19: meteorologists named the exact dates.
According to ТСН: The temperature in Ukraine will begin to rise in the second half of January. In particular, a weakening of the frosts is expected from January 17 to 19.
When will it be the coldest
A meteorologist from the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center reported that on January 10 in the western regions and Vinnytsia region, the temperature may drop to -13°...-17° at night, and -9°...-14° during the day. In the rest of the territory, the frost will feel less unbearable.
"On the 11th, frosts will persist: -15°...-20° at night, -9°...-14° during the day,"
she noted, emphasizing that the cold snap will particularly hit the west, north, and partly the center of Ukraine.
From January 12 to 14, a similar situation is expected: -13°...-18° at night and -12°...-14° during the day, while in the south and east, the temperature will range from -8°...-13° at night to -2°...-7° during the day.
The most cold is expected from January 11 to 14, especially in the northern part of the country.
"It will migrate: first to the northwestern regions, then north, then northeastern,"the expert clarified.
What is the weather in Kyiv
The meteorologist also confirmed that the forecast applies to Kyiv.
"Tomorrow evening, the temperature will already start to drop, and the night of the 11th will be -16°...-18°, during the day -10°...-12°, the night of the 12th -14°...-16°, during the day -8°...-10°. Night temperatures on January 13 and 14 will be -15°...-17°, during the day - around -10,"she said.
When to expect the weakening of frosts
As the meteorologist noted, a slight weakening of the frosts is possible from the 17th to the 19th.
"Somewhere by 3-8 degrees. During the day in the south and west of Ukraine, possibly even to thawing,"she added.
We remind you that due to the significant deterioration of weather conditions, the government plans to allow employees of non-critical institutions to work from home.
Given the expected warming, one can hope for a slight relief for people suffering from severe frosts. At the same time, it is important to be attentive to changes in the weather to avoid unforeseen consequences. Severe frosts can negatively impact health, so it is advisable to adhere to safety measures in these cold days.
