Young people who may be denied a special contract with the army

Alla Punyko, an officer of the media department of the First Recruitment Center of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, spoke about the main reasons why young citizens aged 18-24 may be denied the conclusion of a special contract.

The main requirements are legal age, fitness for service according to medical and psychological criteria, and the absence of a criminal record.

We can deny a candidate only if they have not passed the military-medical commission and if they do not meet the age requirements. Also, if the candidate has a criminal record. However, more and more eager young people are coming to us. There have not yet been such refusals from us

The 'Reserve+' application has already received tens of thousands of applications from young people wishing to sign a one-year contract for military service. The Ministry of Defense has provided detailed information about the application review process and preparation for service.

The first contract soldiers aged 18-24 have already taken the oath and started serving in the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade 'Edelweiss'.

The training of young people who have signed the 18-24 contract is carried out according to a three-month program.

Medical examination procedure for volunteers

Candidates wishing to join the Armed Forces must successfully pass the military medical commission. They have priority in the queue for examination.
