Kyiv Under Fire: July 11 Assault
According to UATV: On July 11, Russian forces launched a ballistic missile strike on Kyiv, leaving 10 people wounded—one of them a child. This marks the third such attack on Ukraine’s capital within a single week, highlighting the sustained threat to the city.
The assault caused damage across three districts of Kyiv:
- Solomenskyi District: A fire broke out in a three-story building, and a locomotive was also reported damaged.
- Darnytskyi District: An electrical panel room caught fire, with nearby residential buildings suffering broken windows.
- Dniprovskyi District: A warehouse was engulfed in flames after being hit.
Just a day earlier, on July 10, Russian troops targeted port infrastructure in the Odesa region, killing a port worker. These consecutive strikes underscore Russia’s ongoing aggression and the escalating crisis in Ukraine.
Conflict Intensifies
The uptick in military action is part of a broader escalation in the war that has raged since 2014. The recent attacks on Kyiv and other areas show that Moscow continues its aggressive campaign despite international condemnation and sanctions. This persistent violence keeps civilians in constant danger, as the conflict shows no signs of de-escalation.
