Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro Have Battery Issues: Users Complain About Swollen Batteries

According to Korrespondent.net: Owners of Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro smartphones have started to actively report battery problems, raising serious concerns about user safety. As reported by PiunikaWeb, a number of complaints have appeared on Google support forums regarding the devices' casings separating and the screens detaching from the frame.

“Recently, I noticed that the side panel of my Pixel 7 Pro began to separate. It turned out that the battery had swollen, which could even lead to ignition or explosion,” - writes one of the owners.
Many other users also confirm these problems, with some mentioning that their devices suddenly shut down even when the battery is fully charged.

Additionally, some users report that due to casing deformation, they have to replace not only the batteries but also the screens. Google support's response to this situation has been mixed: some customers were offered free repairs or a refurbished smartphone if the repair was unsuccessful, while others only received reimbursement if repaired at authorized centers and with a receipt. Many users have had to cover repair costs themselves.

It should be noted that earlier reports had indicated issues with alarms on the Google Pixel 9, which temporarily stopped working.

This situation raises an important question about the quality of components used in Google smartphones. The challenges faced by users indicate a need for the company to pay more attention to inspecting finished products before selling them. Ensuring customer safety should be a priority, and user feedback can be a catalyst for changes in production processes.
