Russia is preparing an armed provocation for Christmas: intelligence reveals Kremlin's plans.
According to ТСН: The Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine reports on an ongoing special operation by the Kremlin aimed at sabotaging peace negotiations with the support of the United States.
Threat of Armed Provocations
The service's message states that 'with high probability, we predict a transition from manipulative influence to armed provocation by Russian special services with significant human casualties. The expected time is on the eve of or during the celebration of Christmas according to the Julian calendar. The site of the provocation may be chosen as a religious building or another object of high symbolic weight both in Russia and in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.'
Methods of Falsification
In order to create evidence of Ukraine's involvement, a plan to use fragments of Western-made strike UAVs is being developed, which will be delivered to the site of the provocation from the line of combat engagement.
The agency also pointed out that 'Putin's regime has repeatedly used this tactic within Russia, and now this same model is being exported beyond the country's borders, which is indirectly confirmed by public statements of high-ranking officials of the Russian Federation.'
Furthermore, it was previously reported that the SBU detained an FSB killer in Kyiv who was trying to assassinate an officer of the GUR MO of Ukraine.
These facts indicate an intensification of aggressive actions by Russia, which may threaten not only stability in Ukraine but also the overall security environment in the region. Falsification and provocations are used to create tension that can complicate diplomatic efforts to achieve peace.
