The Head of the Bundestag on Information Attacks by Russia: A Threat to the Democracy of the World.
According to inkorr.com: At a meeting of the heads of parliaments of the G7 countries in Ottawa, the head of the Bundestag, Julia Klockner, expressed concern about the threat of information attacks from Russia. She emphasized that these attacks are not only targeting Ukraine but also aim to destabilize democratic societies worldwide. In particular, Klockner pointed to the special activity of such attacks in Germany related to issues of refugees, energy, and support for the Ukrainian army.
'Russia's war against Ukraine is also a war against the truth. It is accompanied by misinformation campaigns designed to destabilize democratic societies far beyond Ukraine,' Klockner emphasized.
The Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution of Germany confirmed the existence of attempts by Moscow to influence public opinion and elections in the country. German intelligence services note systematic attempts by Russian entities to interfere in the internal affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany.
With the increasing level of information attacks from Russia on an international scale, it is becoming increasingly clear that coordination of actions is needed to combat this issue within the G7 and other international formats.
Continuous information attacks from Russia are becoming a serious threat not only to Ukraine but also to other states. Julia Klockner's words emphasize the importance of international unity in the fight against misinformation. This issue is becoming particularly relevant in light of the current challenges to democracy and stability in many countries.Read also
