Deputy Dmytro Dyrk Derkach announced that the Russians plan to capture the entire Donetsk region by winter. After that, negotiations and a «freeze» of the conflict are possible. He explained his motivation to continue the fight even in difficult conditions at the front. He claims that he continues to serve to protect his compatriots from the Russians and to prevent their aggression in other areas of Ukraine.

Previously, the Russians had already occupied several settlements in Donetsk, including Toretsk and Nova Ilinka. In recent weeks, their army has also advanced towards Kurakhovo. The analytical project DeepState reported that the Russians already control the villages of Ilinka and Rivnopil.
