Attacks on Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Leave Casualties

According to UATV: On July 10, 2023, Russian forces launched strikes on Zaporizhzhia and the Dnipropetrovsk region, resulting in deaths and injuries. In Zaporizhzhia, one man was killed and four people—including a child—were wounded. The shelling destroyed both residential and non-residential buildings. Over the course of a single day, 1,038 strikes hit 49 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia area, marking a severe escalation in hostilities.

According to local authorities, the attacks in Zaporizhzhia leveled homes and other structures. Emergency crews are working to manage the aftermath, which has sparked widespread panic among residents.

'The KAB-guided bomb strikes in Zaporizhzhia have destroyed residential and non-residential buildings. Following the enemy attack, residents of a multi-story apartment block are being evacuated. One person is dead, and at least four are wounded, including a child. Cleanup operations after the Russian assault are ongoing,' said Mayor Ivan Fedorov.

Dnipropetrovsk Region: Rescuers Face New Danger

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, emergency responders also encountered heightened peril. While tackling a blaze at a vocational school in the village of Kapulivka, within the Pokrovske rural community, a second strike hit the same location.

'As firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze, the enemy treacherously launched a follow-up attack. The cynical strike damaged a fire and rescue vehicle. No personnel were injured,' reported the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

The situation across the region remains tense, with rescue operations continuing. Authorities urge residents to remain vigilant and follow safety protocols.

These attacks on Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk Oblast underscore the ongoing war in Ukraine and its devastating toll on civilians. The high frequency of strikes—including thousands recorded in a short span—points to a dangerous intensification of the conflict in the area. The crisis persists, and the efforts of emergency workers to mitigate the damage highlight the constant threat to local safety.
