The Ukrainian operation in the Kursk region has blocked up to 150,000 troops on Russian territory - expert.

The Ukrainian operation in the Kursk region has been ongoing for six months and strikes not only a political and military blow to Russia but also increases the burden on the Russian economy. This was stated by military-political analyst Dmytro Snihiryev on the FREEДОМ television channel.

In Russia, there are 120,000 displaced persons from frontline regions. The costs of the Russian budget to support these displaced persons amount to about 3 billion rubles.

Snihiryev noted that this is a large number of Russians who have a negative attitude towards local and central authorities. This has a significant impact on public opinion regarding support for the Russian president.

After the Kursk operation, Russians began to fear similar incursions in the Bryansk and Belgorod regions. The costs of building defensive lines in these areas amount to about 200 million dollars.

According to the expert, all these expenses are funding that should have gone to the needs of the Russian army, which is currently focused in Ukraine.

Also, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have blocked up to 50,000 Russian soldiers only in the Kursk region. These are brigades of marines, special forces, and divisions of the National Guard of Russia. In Ukraine, it has not been possible to achieve tactical successes in the Donetsk, Zaporizhia, and Kherson regions.

The General Staff of the Russian army has created two operational-tactical groups “Bryansk” and “Belgorod” with a total of 90,000 troops. In total, about 140-150 thousand personnel of the Russian army are blocked on the territory of the Russian Federation, who are not participating in combat operations in Ukraine.

The Kursk operation has also shown that the reserves of the Russian army are exhausted if they have to turn to military assistance from North Korea. This is another defeat for Russia.

Overall, this operation has transferred the war onto the territory of the Russian Federation, which is an important informational and political blow against Russia at both military and political levels.
