Lexus presented a six-wheeled flagship: what is known about the new concepts

According to Korrespondent.net: At the Japan Mobility Show in Tokyo, Lexus unveiled three new concepts showcasing possible directions for the flagship LS line. The most impressive was the six-wheeled ultra-lux minivan Lexus LS, which came as a surprise to visitors. Along with it, the LS Coupe and LS Micro made their debut.

Lexus LS: a new format for the flagship

As the current generation of the Lexus LS sedan approaches its end, the company is seeking new solutions for its flagship. The LS Concept demonstrated how the LS could look as a massive minivan with two rear axles and six wheels.

Design and interior of the minivan

The design of the new vehicle impresses with its radicality: aggressive LED headlights, an elongated body, and futuristic proportions reminiscent of the Tesla Robovan concept. The rear wheels are significantly smaller than the front ones; however, Lexus has yet to explain this design choice. The interior is styled in business-class fashion: two front seats with digital displays and two rows of luxurious chairs behind that resemble aviation seats.

LS Coupe and LS Micro

The second exhibit, the LS Coupe Concept, is a four-door crossover coupe with rear doors similar to those used by Rolls-Royce and a retractable wooden trunk. The interior impresses with technological luxury: two digital instrument clusters, a large display for the passenger, and vertical screens for the rear seats, styled with wood and natural fabrics in Japanese style.

The third project, the LS Micro Concept, is a one-seat autonomous transport module designed for dense urban conditions. Its body opens 'like a box', revealing a single seat in a compact yet elegantly designed cabin with numerous wooden decorations.

Lexus has not yet confirmed which of these three projects may enter serial production.
