Gdańsk Hosts Ukraine Recovery Conference
According to UATV: On June 25, the Ukraine Recovery Conference took place in Gdańsk, where European Council President António Costa affirmed that Ukraine's future is tied to European integration. He stated that
“Ukraine’s future is in the European Union”, underscoring strong institutional backing for the country’s path toward joining the European community.
New Investment Vehicle to Support Ukraine’s Reconstruction
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen also addressed the gathering, announcing the readiness of an investment fund backed by the EU, Poland, France, Germany, and Italy. This fund is designed to drive Ukraine’s recovery and development in the post-conflict period.
Costa highlighted the critical role of investments in building a modern, digital economy, noting that
“we are laying the foundations for a modern and digital economy that will strengthen the entire European continent.”These remarks reflect the EU’s commitment to supporting Ukraine on its journey toward integration and renewal.
The Gdańsk conference signals growing solidarity from European leaders with Ukraine, marking a significant step toward its EU membership.
