Almost the entire composition of the supervisory board of 'Ukrenergo' will change by December 9.
It is planned to appoint new independent members and state representatives to the supervisory board of NEC 'Ukrenergo' by December 9. This will lead to a complete renewal of the board, which consists of 7 members. The spokesperson specified that the Ministry of Energy, as the shareholder of the company, intends to make a decision on the new composition by December 9. Currently, only 4 members remain on the board, and the terms of three of them expire on December 9. Two independent board members have already resigned.
The European Energy Community recommended the government to appoint all new members by December 9 and strengthen the independence of the board, otherwise 'Ukrenergo' will extend the certification as a transmission system operator. To avoid energy restrictions for businesses, it is important to import more electricity.
The applied electricity supply restrictions are not permanent, and there are currently no plans to return to power outage schedules.
