25-year-old Yago Luiz de Campos e Silva was discovered dead by hotel staff, and police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.

Silva, from Jacareí in São Paulo state, was vacationing in Mykonos with actor and content creator Ryan Silveira, 23.

The tragedy occurred during Silva's 25th birthday celebration on Saturday, the 23rd.

Cleaners entered the room after noticing a leak from the balcony. They discovered both friends in the pool – neither of them responded. Silva was pronounced dead at the scene upon the arrival of rescue services.

Ryan Silveira was actively pulled from the water by one of the hotel staff.

Initially, he was in a coma but later regained consciousness after being urgently transported to the hospital.
