“You could see the glow, fires flaring up closer, then farther, closer, then farther, and then the last one buzzed. I thought to myself: it's very loud, it's probably heading for us. I told my wife, covered my head with a blanket, and then the windows immediately went: a blast—and everything shattered.”

Another resident, Andriy Teplyk, stated: “There was utter hell here: that 'Shahed' drone was still exploding down below, while firefighters were working here. They are simply heroes. Our people are working. Kharkiv is holding strong!”

In this situation, the work of emergency services, which responded swiftly to calls, received particular attention. All efforts were focused on ensuring resident safety and restoring the infrastructure damaged in the attack.
