  • In the Kharkiv region, six people were wounded, including three children.
  • In the Sumy region, four people died, among them a mother and her daughter.
  • A doctor working at a hospital in Kherson was also killed in a shelling attack.

Call for International Support

President Zelenskyy has urged international partners to ramp up their support for Ukraine, particularly in the area of air defense.

“A reliable shield for Ukrainian skies is a prerequisite for diplomacy,” Zelenskyy stated.
He also emphasized the need for 'effective backing from global allies, especially in the form of anti-ballistic missile systems.'

The tragedy on July 2 underscores the critical need to enhance Ukraine's air defense capabilities, as the threat of aerial attacks remains constant. This large-scale strike inflicted damage not only on Kyiv but also on other regions, highlighting the urgency of strengthening security measures. Furthermore, the president's response reflects an immediate requirement for international assistance, which could shape Ukraine's future diplomatic efforts amid the ongoing war with the aggressor.
