According to Espreso.tv: A Russian strike on Kyiv has led to partial collapses of residential buildings, multiple fires, and a confirmed death toll of nine people, including five children. In the Podilskyi district, a residential building suffered structural damage from the 7th to the 9th floors, leaving people trapped. Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that 22 individuals were rescued from that building.

Debris from the attack also struck a 21-story building, causing partial destruction between the 3rd and 4th floors. Fires broke out in residential buildings across four locations in Podilskyi. In the Holosiivskyi district, blazes were reported in a five-story building, on non-residential premises, in a warehouse, and in an open area.

Casualties and Official Response

In the Darnytskyi district, multi-story buildings were damaged at three separate sites, with debris hitting a 25-story building at the level of the fourth floor. Klitschko confirmed the destruction in Darnytskyi, stating that

“debris struck a 25-story building.”
A total of 46 people were injured in the attack. Emergency services continue to operate at the scenes.

This strike is part of the ongoing armed conflict that has affected Ukraine since 2014, highlighting the severe toll on civilians as residential areas are targeted. The city authorities and rescue teams are actively responding, working to mitigate the damage and provide aid to those affected.
