Russia launched a massive strike on the energy system: where the most blackouts occurred.
Massive attack on Ukraine's energy facilities

According to information from "Ukrenergo", emergency shutdowns were carried out to improve the energy situation in the affected areas. "Energy workers are working to restore stable electricity supply as soon as possible," the press service reported.
Response of Ukrainian leadership to the attacks
President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the Russian Federation carried out a night attack on the Ukrainian energy system, using over 450 drones and more than thirty missiles. This act of aggression is seen as a response to shelling that took place in 2022.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha called on international partners to pay attention to Russian attacks on critical civilian infrastructure in Ukraine and to respond adequately to these threats.
After the massive attack on energy facilities, the Ukrainian government is actively working to restore stable electricity supply and is responding to Russia's aggressive actions against the country's critical infrastructure.
This attack highlights the ongoing threat to Ukraine's energy security, which is trying to stabilize the situation amidst military aggression. At the same time, international support becomes extremely important for the resilience of the country in this difficult situation.
