Every day at 9 AM, Ukrainians honor the memory of all whose lives were taken by the Russian-Ukrainian war. Today we remember Dmytro Knyazhkivskyi.
Senior Sergeant Knyazhkivskyi Dmytro Mykhailovych on September 28, 2024, suffered injuries incompatible with life due to an enemy air attack. This was reported by the Southern Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
Dmytro Knyazhkivskyi was born on December 26, 2000, in the village of Dibrovka in the Odesa region. He received his secondary education in 2016 at the Malofontanske Educational Complex (school I-III degrees) and soon entered the Kryzhopil Professional Construction Lyceum, where he obtained the profession of an electric welder.
From his childhood, Dmytro loved sports, engaged in boxing and Greco-Roman wrestling. He participated in sambo competitions, as well as in kettlebell lifting competitions.
He started his military career in the ranks of the State Border Guard Service in July 2019 by signing a contract in the Podilsk Border Detachment.
He served in a mobile unit. He repeatedly executed assignments in the combat zones in the Bakhmut and Sumy directions. He had the call sign Knyaz.
Dmytro stood out among his comrades due to his determined character. He always showed initiative and was demanding of himself, defended his position, and quickly executed the tasks assigned to him, recalls his subordinate's deputy commander, Senior Lieutenant Nazar Lukysha.

Dmytro was always a kind and bright person. He strived to live by the principle of honesty and justice. He was a person with strong character, had goals, endurance, was courageous and brave, and helped people. He always respected others, was hardworking, cheerful, sincere, and also a caring son, brother, friend. Dmytro dreamed of being a happy person and making others happy, but unfortunately, his life was taken by the cursed war started by the Russian Federation, wrote about the defender of Ukraine Iryna Shargorodska on the page of the Malofontanske support educational institution on Facebook.
Farewells were said to the hero and he was laid to rest in the village of Malyi Fontan, Podilsk district, Odesa region.

The Commander-in-Chief joins the minute of silence. We honor the memory of all Ukrainians who died fighting for their Homeland. We remember those who died at the hands of Russian invaders, light candles of memory, and bow our heads in sorrow during the national minute of silence, honoring the bright memory of the citizens of Ukraine who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of the nation: all soldiers, civilians, and children, all who perished fighting the Russian occupiers and as a result of the enemy troops' attack on Ukrainian towns and villages.
