According to Novyny.live: Mazda has confirmed it will cease production of its CX-3 crossover and Mazda2 hatchback by mid-2026. The CX-3 will end its run in March 2023, while the Mazda2, known as the Demio in Japan, will be discontinued in June 2023. Model History and Future Outlook
The CX-3 first launched in 2014 and gained a solid following. The Mazda2 debuted even earlier, in 2002, with its third generation arriving in 2014. The current Mazda2 is equipped with a 1.5-liter Skyactiv-G engine that delivers 85 kW (116 hp) and 149 Nm of torque, while achieving a fuel consumption of 4.5 liters per 100 km.
As part of its model transformation, Mazda unveiled the Vision X-Compact concept in October 2025. Reports suggest the upcoming Mazda CX-20 is likely to succeed both the CX-3 and Mazda2, highlighting the brand's focus on refreshing and expanding its vehicle portfolio.
