Residents of some regions will be able to collect firewood for free, but with a condition.
The government has approved a resolution that will allow residents of frontline communities to collect firewood for their own needs for free. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal.
According to him, during off-site meetings, the government took control of solving the problem of wood harvesting. In particular, they approved a resolution that will allow residents of frontline communities to collect firewood for their household needs for free without harming Ukrainian forests.
The government also adopted a framework Concept for a state program of comprehensive water supply for nine regions most affected by hostilities. It is noted that based on this, a relevant program will be developed.
"Our goal is to provide people and businesses with a sufficient amount of water, modernize engineering systems, and diversify water supply sources," added Shmyhal.
Ukrainians who have intact or damaged housing in the occupied territory or in the combat zone are currently unable to claim compensation under the "eRecovery" program, but the authorities are looking for a solution. This was reported by the head of the temporary commission on the protection of the rights of internally displaced persons and others affected by Russian aggression "Servant of the People", MP Pavlo Frolov.
It is known that the occupation authorities are trying to deprive Ukrainians of their property in temporarily occupied territories. According to the Ministry of Reintegration, the occupiers are spreading information about the need for property owners to return to these territories to confirm their housing rights. If the requirement is not met, the occupiers threaten to take away the property.
