Ukraine can double the volume of agricultural exports.
At the 3rd International Food Security Conference Grain from Ukraine, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal stated the possibility of doubling Ukraine's agricultural export volumes and providing food for up to 600 million people worldwide. He also emphasized the successful strategy to counter the aggressor who is trying to hinder Ukraine's agricultural exports. During the war, the country has already harvested its third crop of grains and legumes, totaling over 53 million tons. The harvest for 2024 is still ongoing and will provide enough grain for both domestic needs and export. Thanks to the Black Sea logistics corridor and other export routes, Ukraine has successfully restored its export capacities. The country exported more goods in the first 10 months of 2024 than in the entire year of 2023, with food products, including sunflower oil, corn, and wheat, being the main components of the export structure. Shmyhal emphasized that Ukraine supplies products to more than 100 countries for over 400 million people, and in the medium term, there is an opportunity to increase agricultural export volumes and provide food for up to 600 million people worldwide.
