MinDigital announced digital projects to combat corruption.
The Ministry of Digital Transformation is working on reforms to combat corruption
The Ministry of Digital Transformation is developing four projects under the 'Diya' program aimed at combating corruption. One of these projects is the introduction of customs clearance for cars within the 'Diya' program. The main goal of this project is to eliminate human involvement in the customs clearance process and to demonstrate the work of customs without the presence of officials, stated Mykhailo Fedorov, head of the Ministry of Digital Transformation.
Another project is the 'eExcise' system, which will allow tracking each unit of tobacco and alcohol. After the system is launched, it will be possible to verify the legality of products directly in the 'Diya' program. This project will help the tax authorities not to lose funds due to the shadow market.
The Ministry is also developing a unified electronic system for notaries. The first pilot project planned to be launched is the ability to use notarial services via video communication in the 'Diya' program.
In particular, the Ministry is working on the digitalization of services in construction, including the implementation of an urban planning cadaster. The goal of this project is to collect and systematize information about construction in the city, which will prevent document forgery and the issuance of construction permits for free. Based on the cadaster, we will launch even more digital construction services for Ukrainians, he added.
It is also worth mentioning that the Cabinet of Ministers continues digital transformation of services for servicemen and their families. An experimental project has already been launched that allows obtaining the status of a person with a disability due to war through the 'Diya' portal, receiving financial assistance for the injured, assigning disability pensions, obtaining rehabilitation aids, receiving housing benefits, and services for families of fallen soldiers.
By the way, six new services will soon be available in the 'Diya' application.
