The Ministry of Culture has instructed to suspend the construction of the Memorial Complex of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes.
The Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications has decided to halt the design and construction of the National Memorial Complex of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes - Museum of the Revolution of Dignity until the end of martial law and for a period of three years. An order to this effect was issued on December 25 under number 964.
The reason for this decision was issues with financing and the seizure of land plots designated for the project's implementation, which was secured by the Kyiv Court of Appeal in 2019. According to the protocol of the interdepartmental working group, this will lead to the need to preserve the object 'Design and construction of the National Memorial Complex of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes - Museum of the Revolution of Dignity'. This means that the construction of the Alley of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes and the improvement of the territory will be suspended until the end of martial law and for three years after its cancellation.
The tender for the design of the Museum of the Revolution of Dignity was conducted, in which the company LLC 'Osnova-Solsyf' won with a proposal worth 49.4 million UAH. The completion of the project is planned for April 2023. The design will be carried out in three stages: sketch project, project and working documentation.
It is also worth noting that the copyright for the project of the Museum of the Revolution of Dignity was transferred to Ukraine from the German architectural bureau 'Kleihues + Kleihues'.
Coordinator of the 'Great Construction' program Kyrylo Tymoshenko reported that the construction of the Museum of the Revolution of Dignity will begin in the fall of 2022 and will be completed by the end of 2023. A tender has already been conducted for the development of project-estimate documentation.
