Ministry of Defense strengthened the quality requirements for food products for the Armed Forces
The Ministry of Defense has strengthened the quality requirements for poultry meat, fish, and dairy products supplied to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
During inspections of food supply to military units of the Armed Forces, cases were identified where suppliers delivered frozen chicken with an excessive moisture content. In response, the Ministry of Defense set requirements for the mass moisture content after thawing poultry meat and the mass glaze content in frozen fish.
The Ministry has banned the supply of dairy and fermented dairy products to the Armed Forces that are not made from cow's or sheep's milk.
Let us remind, that the basic military training in the state training center for a soldier-shooter costs the state 200,000 UAH. From November 1, 2024, the training of mobilized soldiers in training centers is being strengthened, increasing the duration of training and the number of hours of firearm training.
Ukrainians are saving on confectionery, fish, and seafood due to rising prices. According to the survey results, 64% of people are choosing cheaper products, and 48% are more often cooking food at home.
