Ministry of Defense: Ukrainian army received new drone 'Chaklun' for artillery adjustment.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine allowed the supply of the new Ukrainian unmanned complex 'Chaklun,' which can adjust artillery fire.
The new drone is built on an airplane scheme and has a compact size and multifunctionality. It possesses high resistance to electronic interference, which is very important when performing combat tasks under conditions of active use of enemy's electronic warfare means.
'Chaklun' is equipped with software specially developed by Ukrainian programmers, which allows effective control of the drone even in difficult weather conditions.
It was previously reported that the Ministry of Defense integrated the Vezha video analysis platform into the DELTA combat system. This increases accuracy and efficiency due to improved interaction and data exchange between drones, artillery, and command centers.
In the first 9 months of 2024, over 140 aviation and 33 ground robotic complexes produced in Ukraine were used.
According to ISW analysts, Ukraine is increasing the production of weapons, equipment, and drones but still needs Western assistance in confronting Russia.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal stated that by the end of the year, Ukraine will produce 1.5 million drones. He also noted that Ukraine is working with partners to increase arms supplies and develop its own military-industrial complex.
