Ukrainians can submit claims to the International Damage Register

From today, all citizens of Ukraine have the opportunity to submit a claim to the International Damage Register in The Hague, which forms the basis for future payments. This was announced by Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Digital Transformation.

«If your home was damaged or destroyed due to Russian aggression, fill out a claim to the International Damage Register on the «Дія» portal», - the message states.

Previously, to submit a claim, it was necessary to register the property in the State Register of Rights to Real Estate (SRRE) and have an act of commission inspection of the property. However, the system has been improved, and now everyone can use the service, even if:

  • the property right is not registered in the Register of Rights;
  • there is no act of damaged property from local authorities and did not apply for the «eRecovery» program;
  • the housing is located in temporarily occupied territories or in a combat zone.

The application can be submitted on the «Дія» portal via the link.

Recall that the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal previously stated that from August, Ukrainians will be able to submit a claim to the International Damage Register under 12 new categories.

At the moment, as of April 3, 200 Ukrainian citizens have already filed claims for compensation.
