Putin signed a decree on mobilization reserve: who is being summoned in 2026.
According to ТСН: Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, signed a decree on holding special gatherings for citizens who are part of the mobilization reserve. The purpose of these gatherings is to protect important critical facilities.
As reported by Russian media, the decree contains the following information:
"I decree: To summon in 2026 citizens of the Russian Federation who are in the mobilization human reserve of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation for the purpose of ensuring the protection of critically important facilities and other life-supporting systems".
Putin also tasked the government with developing a list of critically important facilities and other life-supporting objects that require protection. The Ministry of Defense has been instructed to determine the military units of the Russian Armed Forces that will be responsible for conducting these gatherings.
It is worth noting that at the end of December, Putin signed a decree regarding the conscription for military service in 2026, which anticipates the replenishment of the army with 261 thousand recruits.
This decree indicates the continuation of mobilization measures in Russia in the context of the armed conflict. The holding of special gatherings indicates the need to strengthen the country's defense capabilities and protect strategically important facilities. The government now needs to determine specific steps to implement these tasks, which may influence the further development of the situation.
