Moldova Steps Up European Integration Efforts
According to Novyny.live: Moldova is currently in an intensive phase of European integration, hoping to resolve the Transnistrian conflict through peaceful dialogue and cooperation with Romania. The country’s authorities are bracing for potential economic fallout linked to shifts in the energy market.
The breakaway region of Transnistria remains beyond the control of the central government, complicating the situation. Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu stated that the current peacekeeping operation has exhausted its potential. In response, Moldova’s leadership is launching a reset of the security landscape in Transnistria and preparing a plan for peaceful reunification of its territories, working alongside international partners.
“We want to resolve the conflict peacefully, respecting territorial integrity and sovereignty. I believe that as European integration progresses, the Transnistrian issue can also be resolved.”
