Amazing rescue of a diver in the Atlantic

According to The Sun: Recently, an impressive case occurred where a diver who went missing at sea was rescued two days later – having drifted almost 100 miles from Morocco to Spain.

A 23-year-old man was diving with friends off the coast of Fnideq when he suddenly disappeared underwater.

A large cargo ship spotted the semi-conscious 23-year-old diverA helicopter transported him to a hospital in Motril, in the Spanish province of Granada

Members of the cargo ship's crew, which was headed to Portugal, spotted the young diver approximately 24 nautical miles from Caleta de Velez on the Spanish Costa del Sol last Friday.

They immediately alerted the authorities, and a helicopter was urgently dispatched for the rescue.

Footage from the helicopter shows tense moments before the diver is evacuated from the cargo ship.

The man was quickly transported to Motril, where there is an emergency helicopter pad, allowing for direct delivery to the hospital.

According to the diver, he got caught in open water when he was pulled under during diving on Wednesday afternoon.

Although he exhibited signs of hypothermia, he miraculously remained stable.

The man explained that strong currents swept him away from his group, and he lost sight of them.

From the moment he disappeared to when he was found, he remarkably swam 96 miles at sea.

In the hospital, he was semi-conscious and suffering from dehydration.

The diver remained under observation on Saturday, but it is expected he will return to Morocco after being discharged.

Surfer's find in Australia

This case is reminiscent of the story of 19-year-old surfer who was miraculously found alive and well after being swept out 9 miles into open sea in Australia.

Dad Darcy Diffhaults described the rescue as “one in a million” after a significant search helped locate his son.

The boy was missing for 17 hours when he was discovered on North Solitary Island off the coast of New South Wales.

He had taken his surfboard to Wooli beach on Tuesday afternoon, but his parents reached out to the police when he did not return home.

Darcy had been carried out 9 miles to sea, and his parents issued a frantic plea for help on social media.

His clothing, bike, and shoes were found at the beach entry.

The father called it “one in a million” salvation and noted: “Who survives in such a situation?”

“It’s somehow unreal. I had already thought about the worst.”
