EasyPay Fees Return for Monobank Users: What Changes from July 1.
Potential Cash Deposit Fee Introduction
According to Novyny.live: Starting July 1, 2026, Monobank customers may face a fee when depositing cash at EasyPay terminals. Users are now receiving alerts about possible adjustments to deposit terms. The standard charge for these transactions would be 1% of the deposited amount plus a fixed 5 hryvnias.
Currently, EasyPay terminals are not listed in the Monobank mobile app, which could indicate a temporary suspension of deposit services through these machines. Investigations show that around $1 billion in cash flows through EasyPay and City24 networks each month, highlighting the massive scale of transactions processed by these payment systems.
National Bank of Ukraine Oversight
The National Bank of Ukraine has flagged numerous violations during inspections of payment terminal networks, potentially prompting a review of fees and service conditions. With changes possibly taking effect in a few years, Monobank clients should prepare for new financial terms.
The introduction of cash deposit fees could significantly impact Monobank users, especially those who frequently rely on EasyPay terminals to top up their cards. It also signals a trend toward tighter oversight by the National Bank of Ukraine over financial transactions, which may reshape the retail financial services landscape.
Customers will likely be able to plan their financial operations with these new conditions in mind, as they are set to take effect several years from now.
