Market vendors note that product prices typically rise during winter conditions. 'When it's winter, everything is more expensive. Chicken used to be 160–170, now it's already 180–200 hryvnias per kilogram,' says vendor Olena.
The present situation in Odesa's food markets illustrates the direct impact of harsh weather and energy instability on the cost of essential goods. Rising prices pose a significant challenge for many local residents who are already grappling with increased living costs. Vendors, for their part, are trying to adapt to the new conditions, though high production and delivery expenses often limit their options.
