The Ministry of Internal Affairs revealed the numbers: why 78% of candidates cannot obtain a driver's license.
According to the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, in 2024 only 22% of applicants successfully passed the practical driving test.
During this period, examiners conducted almost 689 thousand practical tests and issued 204008 first driver's licenses.
It is noted that in 2024 the popularity of independent preparation for the theoretical exam increased. According to a new resolution that came into effect in November 2023, people are allowed to take the theory test without training in a driving school. In 2024, 107394 independent tests were conducted, with a success rate of over 30%.
Driving Test
In the theoretical exam, candidates had to answer 20 questions in 20 minutes, with a maximum allowable number of mistakes - 2. If a candidate exceeded this limit, their exam was considered failed.
It is worth noting that in the event of failing the practical or theoretical exam, a retake is possible only after 10 days.
Additionally, in 2024 the cost of obtaining a driver's license increased, which also affected the process of obtaining a driver's certificate.
Earlier, it was emphasized whether it is possible to drive in Ukraine with European driving licenses.
