Ukraine Rejects Iran's Accusations as Lies, Highlights Nearly 60,000 Drones.
Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry Fires Back at Iranian Claims
According to UATV: Ukraine has strongly denied accusations from Iran that it was involved in military aggression. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Heorhii Tykhyi dismissed the Iranian statement as 'blatantly false,' pointing out that since 2022, Ukraine has been struck by nearly 60,000 drones supplied by Iran to Russia.
Allegations and a Sharp Rebuttal
Earlier, Iran’s permanent representative to the UN, Amir Saeid Iravani, accused Ukraine of taking part in military aggression against Iran. In response, Tykhyi remarked:
“How can you tell if an Iranian regime representative is lying? If their lips are moving, they are lying.” - Heorhii Tykhyi
He further emphasized that 'not a single Ukrainian drone has ever struck Iran,' underscoring the baselessness of Tehran’s allegations.
This exchange highlights the growing tensions between Ukraine and Iran, especially given Tehran’s ongoing military support for Moscow. The situation is further complicated by U.S. Vice President JD Vance’s recent statement that Washington has no plans to continue military operations in Iran—a development that could shift regional dynamics and affect Ukraine’s efforts to defend its interests on the global stage.
