About 284 thousand civilians remain in Donetsk: evacuation continues.
According to Dmytro Petlin, head of the operational duty unit of the Department of Civil Protection of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, there are 284 thousand civilians remaining in the Donetsk region, including nearly 22 thousand children. He also noted that mandatory evacuation from the region is ongoing.
'Evacuation is ongoing, and as of April 1, a total of more than 1 million 216 thousand civilians have been evacuated from the territory of the region controlled by the Ukrainian authorities. Of these, 189,700 are children and about 46,500 are persons with disabilities. Approximately 284 thousand civilians remain on the territory of the region controlled by the Ukrainian authorities,' he noted.
It is noted that among the civilians remaining, 21,940 are children who are on the territory of Donetsk controlled by Ukraine.
Evacuation of the civilian population continues in the Donetsk region. Mandatory evacuation is being conducted to ensure the safety and protection of citizens from dangerous situations. The territory of the Donetsk region controlled by the Ukrainian authorities still has a significant number of civilian persons, including many children and persons with disabilities.
