Zelensky on the strike on the port of Chornomorsk: Russia is waging a war to destroy lives.

According to ТСН: President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky commented on the recent missile strike carried out by the Russian army in Odesa. As a result of the attack, a civilian vessel was damaged in the port of Chornomorsk. The president emphasized that the Russian actions make no military sense.

In his evening address, Zelensky condemned another Russian attack in southern Ukraine, which occurred after a night strike on the energy infrastructure of Odesa.

“A civilian vessel was damaged in the port of Chornomorsk. This once again proves that the Russians not only do not take the current diplomatic chances seriously enough but also continue a war aimed at destroying normal life in Ukraine,”

The president also stressed that he discussed the situation in Odesa during a conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump. He emphasized the importance of the global community understanding who is truly prolonging the war and who is striving for a peaceful solution.

“Who uses ballistic weapons against civilian life and who strikes at such targets that affect the Russian war machine? I thank everyone in the world who strives to disseminate real information,”

Zelensky also reported that necessary measures are being taken to protect during these attacks in Odesa, Chornomorsk, Kharkiv, Sumy, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and cities in Donetsk region.

“And it is necessary for Moscow to stop dominating the desire to fight, and this depends solely on how the world reacts to Russian actions,”

It is also worth noting that today in Odesa, after the explosions, a vessel caught fire. According to initial reports, one person was injured. The fire on the vessel occurred during an air raid alert that lasted from 15:21 to 16:22. During this time, at least four explosions occurred in Odesa.

The Air Forces warned about the threat of ballistic weaponry from the south, and later - about two fast-moving targets approaching Chornomorsk.

This situation underscores the ongoing danger to civilians in Ukraine due to aggressive actions by Russia. It is important for the international community to respond to support Ukraine and put pressure on the aggressor to stop these desperate attacks on the civilian population and infrastructure.
