Commuter Train Services in Odesa Region to Be Suspended: Alternative Routes Announced.
Schedule Changes for Suburban Trains in Odesa Oblast
According to Novyny.live: Rail services in the Odesa region will face adjustments in April 2023 due to scheduled track maintenance. Several commuter trains will be canceled, and authorities will introduce replacement services and a technical train to maintain connectivity.
The cancellations affect the following trains:
- No. 6254 Odesa-Holovna – Podilsk
- No. 6274 Podilsk – Pomichna
These trains will not operate from April 4 to 8, April 12 to 16, and April 20 to 25. Additionally, the following services will be suspended:
- No. 6273 Pomichna – Podilsk
- No. 6257 Podilsk – Odesa-Holovna
- No. 7710 Odesa-Holovna – Odesa-Zastava I
These runs will be canceled from April 5 to 9, April 13 to 17, and April 21 to 26.
To offset the suspended services, a technical train No. 6342/6341 will operate on the Odesa-Holovna – Odesa-Zastava I route from April 5 to 9, April 13 to 17, and April 21 to 26. Furthermore, alternative routes will be introduced:
- No. 6270 Odesa-Zastava I – Podilsk
- No. 6275 Pomichna – Podilsk
- No. 6277 Podilsk – Odesa-Zastava I
- No. 7718 Odesa-Holovna – Odesa-Zastava I
These replacement services will run on April 5, 6, 13, 14, 21, 22, 24, and 25.
Additionally, on March 29, 2023, a long-distance service No. 168/167 from Lviv to Odesa is scheduled to operate. This will help maintain connections between key cities despite the temporary disruptions to suburban train schedules.
