Suspect Status in the Mindich Investigation

According to TSN.ua: The Director of Ukraine's National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU), Semen Kryvonos, has stated that Andriy Yermak and Rustem Umerov are not suspects in the case involving businessman Timur Mindich. Kryvonos provided this clarification during a session of the Temporary Investigative Commission, explaining the status of these individuals within the ongoing probe.

Semen Kryvonos specifically noted that former Head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak has not been served with a notice of suspicion. He also emphasized that Rustem Umerov currently does not hold the status of a suspect or an accused person. A key detail is that no searches were conducted in Andriy Yermak's office in November 2025.

Events Surrounding the Investigation

Recall that on November 10, 2025, NABU officers carried out searches at the premises of Timur Mindich and former Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko. Subsequently, on November 28, 2025, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed Andriy Yermak from his position as Head of the President's Office. This sequence of events confirms the investigation is active but does not directly implicate the aforementioned officials.

This development underscores the continuing nature of anti-corruption probes in Ukraine, particularly those involving high-ranking officials. The case is being closely watched as part of Ukraine's broader reform efforts and its relationship with international partners. While the investigation proceeds, Yermak's dismissal marks a significant moment in the country's anti-corruption drive, reflecting both public pressure and the imperative for institutional reform.
