She disclosed that a cyst burst just three days before she was scheduled to travel to Kyiv for the initial training camp. This medical emergency forced her into a difficult decision, as her doctor strongly advised immediate hospitalization.
Despite this serious complication, Golovchuk chose not to withdraw from the competition.
"I had a cyst that burst. It happened literally three days before I was supposed to go to Kyiv for the training camp,"she stated. Gathering her strength, she decided to continue, emphasizing her resilience by saying, "I am a strong girl."

Golovchuk also explained that her decision was not made lightly, considering her responsibilities to the production.
"I was thinking not only about myself. I was thinking about the responsibility I had,"she noted. Her determination to participate, despite the health scare, undoubtedly showcased a level of commitment that may have influenced her path to victory.
