Loved his family and native village the most in the world. Let's remember Vasyl Ilyuk.
Ukrainians honor the memory of all the victims of the Russo-Ukrainian war every day at 9 am. Today we will remember Vasyl Ilyuk.
Ukrainian defender Vasyl Ilyuk, known by the call sign Hawk, died on September 13, 2024, during combat operations in Miasozharivka, Luhansk region. This information was provided by the Slavske Village Council.
Vasyl Ilyuk was born on February 15, 1987, in the village of Lyubokhora, Stryi district, Lviv region. He studied at Lyubokhorivskyi Secondary School I-II degrees and graduated from Ternopil National Economic University, where he received a law degree.
According to the Slavske Village Council, Vasyl Ilyuk loved his daughter, his family, and his village the most.
Vasyl Ilyuk served in the Stryi Battalion of the Trinity. He stood on the defense of Ukraine since January 2023 and was a senior rifleman-operator of a rifle section.
On September 13, 2024, while performing a combat mission, Vasyl Ilyuk died in Miasozharivka, Luhansk region.
“Kind, bright as today's sunshine, courageous and brave, a true warrior. It's impossible to believe, unbearably painful to lose the best,” wrote about Ilyuk in the Slavske Village Council.
Vasyl Ilyuk was buried in Lyubokhora on September 17, 2024. He left behind a wife and daughter.
