Military Compensation Overhaul Planned

According to Espreso.tv: Valentyn Nalyvaichenko, a member of the Ukrainian parliament, has revealed that significant adjustments to military personnel compensation are scheduled for June. He stated that pay increases for Ukrainian service members will take effect within the next month. Nalyvaichenko also confirmed that European financial backing and a loan—both intended to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine—are expected to begin disbursement in June.

According to the announcement, the first tranche of billions of euros will be allocated to military needs, marking a crucial step in strengthening the country's defense capabilities. Nalyvaichenko stressed the importance of these changes, remarking:

'A substantial increase in payments to our military personnel must happen already in June' - Valentyn Nalyvaichenko.

Price Controls on Defense Supplies

In addition, Nalyvaichenko has proposed tighter oversight of pricing for defense-related products. He unveiled a plan to limit profit margins on such goods to between 5% and 10%.

'I advocate for finally imposing strict order in the defense sector' - Valentyn Nalyvaichenko.
These measures, he argued, will promote more efficient use of budget funds in defense and help ensure that the military receives necessary materials at fair prices.

The upcoming changes in military funding could serve as a key step in boosting morale and meeting the needs of troops amid the ongoing conflict. Higher pay and price controls on defense items may positively impact national defense capabilities, as financial support and spending oversight are critical in today's challenging environment. These initiatives are also expected to strengthen trust in state institutions among service members and their families.
