Currently, it is claimed in Ukraine that the Verkhovna Rada is more effective in fighting corruption than anti-corruption bodies. People's Deputy Yuriy Kamelchuk believes that the Rada is winning in this 'duel' with NABU and SAP. In particular, he complained that anti-corruption bodies do not enforce the law, delay cases, and overload prosecutors.Kamelchuk emphasizes that People's Deputies and the Verkhovna Rada itself are not a 'clean sheet' in terms of corruption; however, they believe that their activities are more effective and transparent than those of anti-corruption bodies. He also noted the improper conduct of meetings by the High Anti-Corruption Court via Zoom, which, in his opinion, violates legislation. It should be noted that against the backdrop of these statements, on July 22, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a bill regarding NABU and SAP, which has already been sent for the president's signature.
