Drone attacks on Kherson region have increased tenfold: how the Armed Forces of Ukraine counter enemy UAVs.
Drone and artillery attacks in the Kherson region have increased tenfold. The Russians have begun mass drone attacks on southern Ukraine, particularly in Kherson. During this time, the number of strikes has increased tenfold — currently, around 8,000 shellings are recorded every month. The Armed Forces manage to counter enemy drones thanks to nets, electronic warfare systems, and fire groups — they shoot down or jam up to 80% of enemy UAVs.
"It is precisely thanks to electronic warfare systems that we either shoot down or jam the drones that come in. Of course, they do not work on drones that arrive via fiber optics, but for this, there are still mobile fire groups," said Oleksandr Tolokonnikov, deputy head of the Kherson Regional State Administration.
Oleksandr Tolokonnikov also added that the Russians have once again begun to massively attack the Kherson region with guided aerial bombs and artillery. One of the main targets of the Russian Armed Forces remains the bridge that connects the Ship district of Kherson with other parts of the city.
We remind you that recently we wrote about those affected by the shelling in the Kherson region. And also that demining in this region may take a long time.
In the Kherson region, drone and artillery attacks on neutral territory have increased, especially on civilian objects. The struggle for control over the city in the Kherson region continues, and defenders are using various technologies to deter the aggressor.
