NATO military leaders plan to hold a meeting to discuss the situation in Ukraine. This event will take place online on Wednesday, August 20. This was reported by Reuters citing FREEДОМ.
NATO Supreme Allied Commander in Europe, Alexus Grinkevich, plans to report to the general staffs of NATO member states the results of the meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian leader Putin, which took place a week ago in Alaska.
“Considering the successful diplomatic efforts for peace in Ukraine, I look forward to new information about the security situation,” said the admiral.
According to Reuters, General Dan Cane, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US, may participate in the meeting.
NATO representative Mark Rutte previously reported that a group of 30 countries, including Australia and Japan, has been working on a security guarantee concept for Ukraine over the past few months.
Thus, NATO military leaders will gather for a meeting on Wednesday to discuss the situation in Ukraine and the next steps.
