According to inkorr.com: NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and Supreme Allied Commander Europe General Alexis Greenkevich announced a new defense initiative 'Eastern Vigil'. The main goal of this operation is to enhance the security of Eastern Europe in response to the recent violation of Poland's airspace by Russian drones.
As part of 'Eastern Vigil', troops and equipment from Denmark, France, the United Kingdom, and Germany will be involved in the operation. This approach will combine elements of air and ground defense for comprehensive protection of the eastern border. Rutte emphasized the importance of reviewing responsibility for air surveillance to eliminate gaps in the defense system.
Rutte stated that Russia's recklessness in airspace has recently increased, posing a serious danger.
The operation was announced during a meeting in Brussels, where participants discussed recent events, including the attacks by Russian drones on Poland.
