According to UATV: Cleanup operations are still underway in Kyiv following a large-scale Russian assault that took place overnight on July 2. The tragedy left 13 people dead, more than 30 injured, and 34 others rescued. The explosion occurred around 3 a.m., causing severe destruction across the city.
Among the deceased is a resident of a nine-story building that suffered extensive damage. It has also been reported that two children were among the casualties of the attack.
Victoria Chistyukhina, a local official, described it as 'a heavy night for the capital.'
She further emphasized that 'there is a threat of a repeat strike, but despite this, everyone is on-site, everyone is working.'
According to Chistyukhina, in the nine-story building where the explosion occurred, 'the structures from the first to the sixth floors are completely destroyed.' This highlights the severity of the attack, which requires an urgent response from emergency services. As of now, rescue teams continue to work at the scene to address the aftermath and provide aid to those affected.
