Strikes on Energy Targets in Crimea

According to Espreso.tv: Between July 21 and 22, Robert 'Madjar' Brovdi, the commander of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces, reported that 13 energy hubs in Crimea and other temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine were struck. As a result of these attacks, the total number of energy targets hit from July 1 to July 22 has now reached 117. This marks a significant escalation in efforts to disrupt infrastructure in the region.

List of Affected Electrical Substations

The following electrical substations in Crimea were among those targeted:

  • 110 kV 'Alushta' substation
  • 110 kV 'Massandra' substation
  • 110 kV 'Luchyste' substation
  • 110 kV 'Yalta' substation
  • 110 kV 'Alupka' substation
  • 110 kV 'Darsan' substation
  • 110 kV 'Zorya' substation
  • 110 kV 'Zymyne' substation
  • 110 kV 'Gaspra' substation

The rising frequency of attacks on energy facilities in Crimea and other temporarily occupied parts of Ukraine highlights an intensification of military operations aimed at weakening occupying forces. Striking these critical energy nodes could destabilize the region's power grid and create additional hardships for local residents. These developments also signal a shift in battlefield tactics and may point to further phases in the ongoing conflict.
