Bolstering Ukraine’s Power Grid

According to UATV: Norway has committed €44.6 million to support Ukraine’s energy system, which has been severely damaged by ongoing Russian attacks. The funds will go into the Ukraine Energy Support Fund—a mechanism established in the spring of 2022 to help rebuild and reinforce the country’s energy infrastructure.

The fund has already drawn significant international backing: its total budget now exceeds €2 billion, thanks to contributions from 39 donors across 26 nations and three international organizations. This initiative represents a critical pillar of global aid to Ukraine as it faces relentless energy-sector challenges.

International Solidarity and Energy Resilience

As a key donor, Norway underscores its commitment to Ukraine amid mounting energy needs triggered by military aggression and infrastructure strikes. The unified international response through the fund continues to deliver financial support, helping stabilize Ukraine’s energy sector during this ongoing crisis.
