New alarm system in Mykolaiv region - how it will work.
A new notification system for 'Air Alerts' will start functioning in the Mykolaiv region from August 1. The signals will be different for Mykolaiv and other localities in the region. Although the system is not yet perfect and may experience failures, work on its improvement is ongoing. This decision was made to avoid unnecessary interruptions in business operations due to irrelevant alerts.
This has been done so that businesses can avoid shutting down during alerts that do not concern them. The system has been modernized with minimal expenditure, but the equipment is still old, and failures may occur. Please remain calm; we are still working on it.
The head of the Mykolaiv regional military-civilian administration, Vitaliy Kim, warned residents about increased shelling activity from MLRS units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. He urges everyone to pay attention to alarm signals and act responsibly.
Recently, there have also been reports about the use of artificial intelligence to protect against drones in the Mykolaiv region, as well as about the region's recovery after shelling.
