Cadillac Optiq surpasses the declared range: independent testing results.
According to Korrespondent.net: The new Cadillac electric crossovers not only confirmed the official range ratings but also exceeded them in independent tests, reports Electrek.
Testing Results
According to tests by Edmunds, the Cadillac Optiq Sport 2 model with an 85 kWh battery managed to cover 546 km, which is 12% more than the declared 486 km. Furthermore, the efficiency of this model proved to be higher: 29.8 kWh per 160 km instead of the official 33 kWh.
Even better results were demonstrated by the Cadillac Vistiq 900 E4 crossover with a 102 kWh battery. It covered a distance of 537 km, exceeding the declared 491 km by 9%. The energy consumption amounted to 36.6 kWh per 160 km.
Market Competition
Thus, both crossovers confidently surpassed the 530 km mark under real conditions, making them serious competitors among premium electric crossovers. The Cadillac Optiq, which is similar in size to the Tesla Model Y, has a starting price of $54,390. The three-row Vistiq, positioned between the Lyriq and Escalade IQ models, is priced from $79,090 and is offered with all-wheel drive as standard.
Recall that it was previously reported that Cadillac presented one of the fastest crossovers of the brand.
